Popsicles

Do you have some paper cups and popsicle sticks (clean, unused ones please)? Maybe you have some plastic cups and spoons (these should be clean too). Perhaps you have one of those popsicle trays that come with thier own handles. Whichever system you decide to use, get it out and put it on the counter. (Don't use glass containers or you will displease the elders and it's dangerous too... just like angry elders)

1 package of your favourite Jello flavour
1 package of your favourite Kool-Aid flavour
2 cups of boiling water (ask a grown up to help you with this please)
2 cups of cold water

Stir the Jello, the Kool-Aid and the boiling water together in a plastic bowl until the mixture is dissolved. Be careful with the boiling water...that stuff is very HOT! Now mix in 2 cups of cold water and stir.

Pour this delightful mixture into your choice of container for freezing and make sure not to fill the container right up. Leave some room for the liquid to expand when it freezes.

Now put 'em in the freezer, check them in a half an hour or so to see if the mixture is starting to get slushy. When the mixture is slushy put your popsicle stick or plastic spoon or handle into the cup or container so that it stands up in the centre. Now leave them in the freezer until frozen solid.

When your popsicles are frozen solid, select the popsicle you want to eat and peel the paper cup off - or pull the popsicle out of the plastic (quickly rinse the outside of the plastic in water and the popsicle will come out more easily) and VOILA! You have your very own delicious popsicle.

Now that's sick.
